Data Privacy

The protection of your personal data is of utmost importance to Deutsche Telekom Business Solutions GmbH (Telekom). It is important to us to inform you about which personal data is collected, how it is used, and what options you have in this regard. The service you have commissioned is a service provided by our partner NFON. NFON is a telecommunications company listed with the Federal Network Agency.

2. What data is collected by Telekom itself, how is it used, and how long is it stored?

a) Processing required for the provision of the digital service (Art. 6 (1b) GDPR, Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG)

4. What rights do I have?

You have the right to: 

a. request information on the categories of data processed, the purposes of processing, any recipients of the data, and the planned storage period (Art. 15 GDPR);

b. request the correction or completion of incorrect or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR);

c. revoke consent given at any time with future effect (Art. 7 (3) GDPR);

d. object to data processing based on a legitimate interest for reasons arising from your particular situation (Article 21 (1) GDPR), and to object at any time with effect for the future, stating these reasons. You can object to data processing for direct marketing purposes at any time without stating these reasons (Article 21 (2) and (3) GDPR);

e. in certain cases within the scope of Article 17 GDPR, to request the deletion of data – in particular if the data is no longer required for the intended purpose or is being processed unlawfully, or if you have withdrawn your consent in accordance with (c) above or have declared an objection in accordance with (d) above;

f. under certain conditions, to request the restriction of data if deletion is not possible or the obligation to delete is disputed (Article 18 GDPR);

g. to data portability, i.e., you can receive the data you have provided to us in a common machine-readable format, such as CSV, and transmit it to others if necessary (Article 20 GDPR);

h. to complain about data processing to the competent supervisory authority (for telecommunications contracts: Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information; otherwise: State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia).

 

5. To whom does Telekom share my data?

To processors, i.e., companies that we commission to process data within the legally prescribed framework (Article 28 GDPR) (service providers, vicarious agents). Telekom remains responsible for protecting your data even in this case. We commission companies in particular in the following areas: IT, sales, marketing, finance, consulting, customer service, human resources, logistics, and printing.

To cooperation partners who provide services for you or in connection with your Telekom contract on their own responsibility. This is the case if you commission services from such partners from us, if you consent to the integration of the partner, or if we integrate the partner based on legal permission.

Due to legal obligations: In certain cases, we are legally obligated to transmit certain data to the requesting government agency.

 

6. Where is my data processed?

Your data is processed in Germany and other European countries.

Furthermore, the following applies: If data processing takes place in third countries, this will only occur if you have expressly consented to this, or if it is necessary for us to provide you with services, or if it is provided for by law (Article 49 GDPR).

Your data will only be processed in third countries if specific measures ensure that an appropriate level of data protection exists (e.g., an adequacy decision of the EU Commission or so-called appropriate safeguards, Articles 44 et seq. GDPR (see here).

 

7. Who is responsible for data processing? Who is my contact if I have questions about data protection at Telekom?

The data controller is Deutsche Telekom Business Solutions GmbH.
